Our history originates in the Netherlands. We first were
known as Wooltex, and had
found our roots through the efforts of our founders from
there. Corneilus deKort
had the foresight to see a growing need in third world
for used clothing and recycled
polishing cloth. Both benefiting the environment and
employing many individuals to
support the local community.

Along with the expertise of, Plaister and Hanger's Geoff
Hanger (now deceased), and
his knowledge of the West African clothing markets, Canadian
Textile Recycling Ltd.
was well on its way to become a leader in the industry.
After a short time, Paul deKort,
the son of the founder, came aboard and took a plant
a step further. With the assistance
of many, we developed a "state of the art" facility.
A second floor was constructed to provide air conditioning in the sorting units making for a comfortable sorting environment for our staff.
